Description
Serenade: Of Love & Enchantment - Stratus Chamber Orchestra
The Serenade is the “music of the evening.” A lover sings below his lady’s open window, a violinist spins a tune to intertwine the hearts of the couple in the restaurant. However you picture it, the Serenade uses the language of love. Stratus’s serenade includes Canteloube’s Songs of the Auvergne, Strauss’s Serenade for Winds, and Johannes Brahms’s youthful and expansive Serenade No. 1.
