Wear comfortable athletic clothing and shoes, and come ready to learn, move, and have fun — no experience needed.

About Rick Escobedo

Rick is a 13-year member of the Cherry Creek Chamber and has worked at Gates Tennis Center for 6 years. He has helped organize the annual Cherry Creek Chamber Pickleball event for the past 3 years and is excited to continue in his role as coach and coordinator.

Originally from Roswell, New Mexico, he played high school tennis and many years of league tennis. With the popularity of Pickleball he has found a love for the sport and enjoys introducing players to the game. Depending on the lesson type, he can work with beginners or advanced players. He understands the importance of teaching the fundamentals of the game, along with general core beliefs of being an athlete. Keeping his lessons fun and exciting he applies “Teaching for Transfer”which allows students to draw from other sports they are involved in to help cross train and apply to pickleball and tennis.
